Wonder Lab is committed to research that respects and celebrates the strengths and experiences of neurodivergent people. Our work aims to make mental health practices more inclusive by reducing barriers and supporting different ways of thinking, learning, and being.

Located in the heart of Southern Alberta, the Wonder Lab acknowledges and pays tribute to the traditional territories of the peoples of Treaty 7, which include the Blackfoot Confederacy (comprised of the Siksika, the Piikani, and the Kainai First Nations), the Tsuut’ina First Nation, and the Stoney Nakoda Nations (including the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations). The city of Calgary is also home to the Métis Nation within Alberta (Nose Hill Métis District 5 and Elbow Métis District 6).

We recognize the responsibilities that come with conducting research on these lands. The Wonder Lab is committed to reconciliation through respectful relationship-building, inclusive and collaborative research practices, and the pursuit of knowledge that honors the voices, experiences, and self-determination of Indigenous communities.
