Dr. Ami Tint
She/Her

Research WONDERings:
Ami’s research uses multiple methods to understand how to improve supports and services for people with neurodevelopmental conditions, with a particular focus on the mental health needs of Autistic girls and women. She studies program development and evaluation with the aim of improving equitable access to care for neurodivergent people. Ami strives to achieve meaningful community partnerships and engages in coproduced research to inform clinical practice.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings:
Ami can usually be found walking her dog, planning her next trip, or keeping up with an unreasonable number of reality TV shows.

Faris Mahmood

Research WONDERings:
Faris is interested in how we can support the transition period from high school to postsecondary for students with learning disorders, autism and other neurodevelopmental conditions. What supports are available for these students already and what more can universities do to support their education.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings: He loves watching and collecting all sorts of media from books, comics, DVD's and still VHS'! Current favourites: Regular Show and anything X-Men!
Ashley Toombs-Heavisides
She/Her
Degree(s): BA Psychology with a double minor in behavioural science and gender studies
Research WONDERings: Ashley is interested in researching how to improve the emotional well-being of neurodivergent individuals, as well as neurodivergent family dynamics and relationships. Ashley hopes to pursue graduate studies and attain her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings: In her free time, she enjoys creating pottery and learning about art history!
Jemma Nombre
She/Her
Degree(s): BSc Psychology, BCR Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies
Research WONDERings: Jemma’s research interests centre on population mental health, with a focus on understanding the factors that shape the mental health and well-being of autistic people. She is passionate about applying equity-focused approaches to improve access to mental health services for neurodivergent communities.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings: She spends her days either at her sewing machine or going on long walks.

Imogen Parkins
She/Her
Degree(s): BA Psychology, with a minor in Sociology
Research WONDERings: Imogen is interested in neurodivergent experiences. In particular, she’s passionate about social, emotional, and educational areas, with a specific focus on child and adolescent psychology.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings: She loves being with friends and caring for my dachshund, who basically commands my household! She also enjoy playing video games, colouring, and reading.

Jill Gerlof

Degree(s): BA Psychology, MSc Clinical Psychology (in progress)
Research WONDERings: Jill is interested in understanding the experiences of Autistic people, particularly Autistic girls and youth, and how we can create supports that work for them. She is currently focused on Autism and eating disorders, and how mental healthcare, education, and other environments can become more inclusive and affirming.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings: In her free time, she really enjoys spending time outside with family, travelling, and making crochet creatures.
Madison Erbach

Degree(s): BSc in Psychology, MSc in Clinical Psychology, PhD in Clinical Psychology (in progress)
Research WONDERings: Madison's research focuses on understanding and addressing the research-practice gap, with a particular interest in autism and advancing neuro-affirming care. She is passionate about involving people with lived experience as meaningful partners in research and ensuring that research is relevant, accessible, and responsive to the communities it aims to serve.
Outside the lab WONDERings: Outside the lab, she enjoys reading, hiking, and exploring new places.
Lindsay Hill-Tout

Degree(s): BA Psychology (final year)
currently completing an undergraduate research project under the supervision of Dr. Tint.
Research WONDERings:
Lindsay is passionate about developmental psychology with research interests including resilience, early intervention, attachment, and neurodiversity in women and girls. After completing her undergraduate degree, she hopes to pursue graduate studies in Clinical Psychology or Applied Child Psychology.
Outside-the-Lab WONDERings:
In her free time, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her pets, playing the piano, and baking
